Hospital Dentistry
What is Hospital Dentistry?
Hospital dentistry is a highly specialized section of dentistry that may incorporate procedures such as oral surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Howie’s services focus on restorative dentistry, cases for children with special needs and nursing bottle syndrome.
If a patient requires general anesthesia for dental care, Dr. Howie and his team will provide treatment at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. Here, a certified medical anesthesiologist will administer general anesthesia and help monitor the patient for the duration of any dental procedures.
Dr. Howie has been utilizing hospital dentistry to great effect since 1999, treating hundreds of patients along the way. While not necessary for many of his patients, hospital dentistry does allow for a safe, stress-free environment for your child to receive their dental treatment. Hospital dentistry typically allows for superior dental care to be performed.
